TUBBY

Tubby the Robot is a fully-voiced and interactive big-suit character, remarkably versatile and suited to all types of events. Tubby is lovable, interactive and very popular with children and adults alike. In performance, Tubby is affirming, empowering and inspires people to play.


Tubby is performed by Melbourne-based artist Paul Cooper who has been building robot costumes professionally since 1997. Paul has had a long commitment to the innovative use and reuse of materials. While Tubby the Robot is a highly resolved and effective design, many of his parts are reused from common household materials. The pictures below show how Tubby has evolved over the years.
